Why did you join Drama Society?
Drama Society played a huge role in my life during my second year and gave me a safe space to explore my creativity and cultivate my image as an artist. I have made some of my closest friends through it. I wanted to be a part of the Team so I could help create a wonderful and fun environment for other students interested in theatre and give them the space to take a leap of faith and explore their talents just like I did!
What are you looking forward to most this year?
I am super excited about our Season plan this year and all the new things we are trying out as well as meeting the new students trying to dip their toes in theatre! Now in my final year, my hope is to be as involved in all the work we put out as possible, whether it be behind the scenes or on stage!
What is your most memorable moment in Theatre?
There are two key memories I have had since joining theatre in University. The First was my time as an actor in Lemons & Gingers, as I had an absolute blast prepping for DramaFest, went out of my comfort zone and got to experience the best crowd on stage. The Second was playing Agnes in She Kills Monsters from the start of rehearsals to the final day of the show it has been the absolute favourite highlight of my life.
What is the best play or musical you have watched and why?
Back to the Future: The Musical was one hell of an experience! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! The Projections, Acting, Music and absolute nostalgia had me at the edge of my seat even though I knew exactly what was gonna happen haha! It also has a special place in my heart as my Dad introduced me to the films properly 2 yeas ago and I fell in love!
