Why did you join Drama Society?

I've always loved theatre so during my first year I knew immediately that I wanted to be involved with the Drama Society. I was lucky to be able to have gotten the opportunities that I got but I also remember how much the team last year helped me find out about said opportunities. I knew that I wanted to help out in the same way and I felt that outreach would be the best way for me to really extend a helping hand to everyone and anyone!

What are you looking forward to most this year?

I'm so excited to see others act on stage, I still rememeber that rush you feel once you've gotten off stage and the rush when you're coming back for bows, I love to see others go through that too, especially when theatre and acting might be totally new to them, it's so amazing to see someone who has had no theatre experience get to work on a production. I'm also always looking forward to meeting new people and making new friends!

What is your most memorable moment in Theatre?

My most memorable moment in theatre is my first ever main role in highschool and my first year of university! In grade 11, I had my first showcase for a scene and it was my first time really acting a main role on stage, it was so exciting and I truly had so much fun. I'll always remember that day because it was the day that I realized that I wanted to keep theatre with me always! My most recent memorable moment was acting in the 2024 Festival of the Arts. It was such an honour to have been able to work with such amazing people and I truly had such a unique and loving experience!

What is the best play or musical you have watched and why?

I really love Tick Tick Boom! It was recommended to me by a friend and I knew a bit about it but never did actually get to see it. So I gave it a watch and it was mind blowing (there's the boom I supposed!) the music, the story, the ending, it was all so beautifully orchestrated.
